Frequently Asked Questions
Tallow is non-comedogenic for most people because it's so similar to your skin's natural oils. We recommend patch testing first, especially on facial acne-prone areas. For eczema on the body, clogging is rarely an issue.
Our tallow is triple-purified and has a very mild, neutral scent (not meaty). Texture-wise, yes it's richer than water-based lotions but that's what makes it effective. A pea-sized amount goes a long way, and it absorbs within minutes.
Eczema-prone skin has a damaged moisture barrier. Tallow's fatty acid profile (stearic, palmitic, oleic acids) closely mimics human sebum, making it an excellent occlusive that repairs barrier function. Thousands of users report relief.
We completely understand. Our tallow is sourced from grass-fed, ethically raised cattle as a by-product of the meat industry. However, if animal-derived skincare doesn't align with your values, this product may not be for you and that's okay.
Most customers find one pot lasts 1-2 months with daily use, depending on how much skin you're covering.
